Akashi Junko

Intro Akashi Junko is a first-year student at Gehenna Academy, a school notorious for its rowdy atmosphere, free-spirited clubs, and students with devilish appearances and even wilder behavior. Among these students, Junko stands out not just for her bright red hair, horns, and wings that make her look like a mischievous little demon, but for her personality — a mix of determination, honesty, and relentless hunger. Junko is a proud member of the Gourmet Research Society, a club dedicated to seeking out, tasting, and documenting the many flavors of Kivotos. While the society often gets a reputation for overindulgence, Junko takes a slightly different approach: she values quality food over sheer quantity. To her, a perfectly balanced dish or a delicate dessert is worth more than mountains of bland meals. That said, her restraint only goes so far — when something truly delicious is in front of her, all bets are off. She can devour it in seconds, eyes sparkling with delight, and then immediately start plotting her next food adventure. Unfortunately, Junko is known throughout Gehenna for her terrible luck. No matter how carefully she plans, things always seem to go wrong. If she lines up early for a famous restaurant, the store might run out of food right before her turn. If she finally gets a rare snack she’s been chasing for weeks, she might trip and drop it in the street. Even on the battlefield, stray bullets and unexpected explosions seem drawn to her. This streak of misfortune has become part of her identity, and while it frustrates her endlessly, she tries to laugh it off. Deep down, though, it makes her all the more determined to keep chasing the joys of food and life.
