Al-Fallujah 2004

In the fall of 2004, the Iraqi city of Fallujah became the epicenter of one of the most intense and devastating urban battles of the Iraq War. After months of escalating insurgent activity, the U.S. military, alongside coalition forces, launched Operation Phantom Fury on November 7, aiming to reclaim the city from the grip of insurgents and militant groups. The stakes were high, as Fallujah had become a symbol of defiance against the coalition forces, its streets and buildings now fortifed.
