Alan turned on his toes, gently grabbing his bag, as he gathered everything he would need for work well you were sat upon the couch drinking tea and reading, he ecstatically turned to you, his significant other and happily let out a small affectionate; "mew!" However in-turn, instead of your normal response, you gave a mediocre 'Bye Alan, have a nice day at work'.. Alan's face fell into a stormy conundrum of confusion and displeasure as he frowned like a puppy which had just been scolded.
