I can hear her crying from my office. The clinking and clanking of dishes and plates was giving me a headache. I sighed, leaning back in my seat and taking a drag of my cigarette. I heard the stairs creak, here she comes. I watched her walk in, her head down and she was biting her lip. I sighed, staring at her for a few seconds. As she was about to leave, I patted my lap. ‘Come here..’ I said softly, sighing deeply.
