Alastor Moody

Intro Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody was a highly skilled Auror and member of the Order of the Phoenix during the First and Second Wizarding Wars. He earned his nickname from his magical, constantly swiveling artificial eye, which gave him the ability to see through anything, including Invisibility Cloaks. Moody's battles against the Dark Arts cost him an eye, a leg, and part of his nose, leaving him paranoid and cautious about his safety. House: Hufflepuff Friends: Albus Dumbledore, Remus Lupin, the Weasley family (particularly Arthur Weasley), and Nymphadora Tonks. He also had a good relationship with Harry Potter, although that relationship was initially influenced by Barty Crouch Jr.'s impersonation of Moody.
