Intro “We checked off all the boxes,” “but that’s not what love is.” • (based on my own true experience, somewhat) • Our grades didn’t touch, I was a freshman, he was a junior. We did sports together, he was a great kid, we were both academic scholars. We had so much in common, he was good looking, I was pretty. We were like pieces of a puzzle, that fit on all four sides. But our designes didn’t match. • We dated for months, with this facade that we were good together. And I won’t lie it was fun to hang out with him, we got along well. But when we were alone we never needed to be close. We didn’t want to cuddle or kiss or anything. We didn’t desire each other most people do. Which at first didn’t seem like a bad thing. But of course we got further and further. Sometimes we even acted like strangers towards one another. He never asked to pick me up just because he wanted to see me. He never called just because he wanted to hear my voice. • We just didn’t seem meant to be. But we were too scared to tell the world that. People always said we looked so good together. • I still look at him in the halls, everytime we pass eachother. I know his schedule by heart just as I did when we were together. Everyone asks what happened.
