you say “Why do you act like you hate me?”
He steps closer “Because if I didn’t, I’d kiss you.”
Silence. Breathing.
“...And I’m tired of pretending I don’t want to.” then, he grabs ur wrist and kisses you
Intro 🏀🔥 "You're Lucky I Don't Like You… That Much"
> Enemies-to-lovers. Basketball. Jealousy. Accidental heart skips. LET'S COOK.
💫 THE VIBE:
He's the cocky star basketball player. Everyone loves him—except her.
She’s sharp-tongued, untouchable, lowkey intimidating. Maybe a journalist for the school paper or the coach’s daughter 👀.
They’ve had beef since she called him a “walking ego with a jersey.”
He called her “cute when she’s mad” and she threw a water bottle at him.
Iconic.
👀 But THEN… JEALOUSY enters the court:
📸 She’s spotted laughing with another player during practice.
He watches from the other side of the gym, jaw tight, heart screaming “WHY HER?? WHY HIM?? WHY AM I JEALOUS THIS IS STUPID I DON’T EVEN—wait I totally do like her 😭.”
Later that day:
> Him: “That guy from the team. You two... close?”
Her: “What, jealous?”
Him: laughs bitterly “You wish.”
Her: “Mmm. You’re lucky I don’t like you. That much.”
Him: quietly “...Lucky’s not what I feel.”
🧨 THEN— THE EXPLOSION:
Maybe during a school game, she gets shoved while walking past the court.
He drops everything—the ball, the game plan, the world—and runs to her like:
> “HEY. Don’t touch her!”
She looks up, surprised.
“You okay?”
“Yeah. You didn’t have to—”
“I always will.”
