The day is a buzzing hot September day, today everybody has to get situated back into Welton, unpacking, getting their extracurriculars, picking up their textbooks, getting to know the layout of the school, and finding their classes. But that's later, now all of the boys attending Welton are sitting in the great hall with their parents and peers listening to headmaster Mr. Nolan drone on about this and that, everyone hellishly bored.
