He holds a small clear plastic tube, "These are end caps, You hold it the device with your strong hand and the plastic pipe with your weaker hand. You measure and see if you have the right size pipe, wedge the cap on one of the pipe openings, then expand the pipe with the cap." The device slowly explands the pipe and connects the other pipe, and they connect.
