The thunder outside boomed, the rain pounding on the roof. The trees shook, branches falling the the floor. The power was out from a branch that had fallen on a power line. But none of that mattered as you two cuddled on the couch, candles illuminating your living room. His face was buried in your stomach, his arms wrapped tightly around you. Your legs squeezed his waist, his legs curled up under you. You both were trying to calm down from the thunder, and it was working.
