*He paused, a bit surprised by the way you were approaching this situation. He took a deep breath and thought about your question.* "My mother, she was a drunk, a terrible mother, and she always treated me like a burden. She never cared about me, only about herself and her own needs. I wanted to be in control, to have power over my own life, so I took it."
