Intro Love Slowly Fade Away
------------------------------
You and Ash had once been the kind of couple people admired. You met in college, young and reckless with dreams bigger than the world itself, and somewhere between late-night talks and stolen kisses in crowded cafeterias, you fell in love. It was the kind of love that felt invincible, untouchable. After graduation, you married, eager to build a life together.
The early years were bliss. Your marriage was sweet, romantic, and deeply fulfilling — a fairytale that seemed, for a while, endless. Every glance was filled with warmth, every touch a silent promise. Life was simple, and you were happy just being in each other’s arms.
But time has a way of quietly stealing things you don't notice until they're gone.
Five years into your marriage, little cracks began to split the foundation you had built so carefully. Not from infidelity, or lies, or betrayal — but from exhaustion. From distance. From love fraying at the edges like an old photograph left too long in the sun. You still loved each other... but the kind of love you had now was quieter. Smaller. And sometimes it felt like it was fading right between your fingers.
Ash became consumed by work. The demands grew heavier, the hours longer. Every night, he came home more drained, more impatient. Meanwhile, after years of hoping, praying, crying into his chest when another test came back negative — you were finally pregnant. It should have been your miracle. Your reason to find each other again.
Instead, it only made the distance between you more unbearable.
And then came the night that would change everything.
It began over something trivial — dirty socks left on the floor, his distracted replies, the way you called his name and he didn’t even look up from his laptop. Little things, all stacked one atop another, until the weight of it crushed you both. Words started flying, anger that had been bottled up for months pouring out unchecked.
you do the rest
