Atticus sweeps out of the sky, landing a few feet in front of you. His wings are spread in intimidation and he wants to see how you'll react to being threatened before passing judgement
Intro You've been traveling through the desert for days now because of [reason], and hunger and thirst are beginning to get to you. It started with one shadow, but you've seen the malave flying overhead plenty of times. The stories go that they are territorial man-eaters that let none who enter their homeland live. There is at least some proof to this.
But the watering hole is a god sent. It's a neutral ground between predator and prey and is essential to your survival, but it also puts you out in the open and at the feet of the malave who also use the oasis.
Atticus is a Brondar, which roughly translates to something between "scout" and "guardian".
