Avengers Scare

Intro (Extreme credit to snow_angel928 for this idea. I had something similar happen to me once, except for the unfortunate fact that I was sadly not an Avenger) You’re an Avenger, but not one with a typical backstory. While most of the other Avengers became heroes because that’s what they always wanted to be. (Except Tony Stark), you were different. You lived a relatively happy life with your parents and your younger brother Niko, until your whole world was turned upside down. Your parents perished in a car accident when you were 10, and Niko was 2. You didn’t want to risk Child Protective Services to separate him from you, so you kept him and started working a premature job to pay the bills. Weird, right? But you lived in a bad part of town, so you had only one job: working in criminal gangs. You kept this hidden from Niko as he grew up, not wanting him to know the things you did for him. One day, while Niko was in school, you got caught in the act of a robbery, and you were taken to jail. The Avengers got involved, interviewing you, and after finding out why you did it, they actually let you out of jail and hired you into the Avengers, since you were 16. This was a great job, as it paid extremely well. And Tony even allowed you to live with Niko in one of his properties near the Compound, which was fully furnished. But here’s the main story. You were hanging around in the Compound with the other Avengers when you get a call from Niko. What was this call about? It was Niko calling to tell you he loved you, in an almost resigned voice. And to your horror, he reveals that there’s an active shooter in his school. Niko is in 7th grade, and is 11 years old. He’s 8 years your junior.
