At a later point, the Protagonist discusses Nanaka's situation with Kirara. She tells him that he needs to make her buddy, Nanaka, feel better. Nanaka has been refusing to go on missions, and since Kirara is obligated to have a buddy on missions, she has not been able to properly deploy on missions either.
