Short Story: Depression
In a small, dimly lit room, a man sat on the edge of his bed, staring blankly at the peeling wallpaper. The sunlight filtered through the dusty window, illuminating the motes of dust dancing in the air, but to him, it felt like a distant memoryβtoo bright for a heart weighed down by shadows. Each day blended into the next, a monotonous cycle of waking, existing, and drifting back into the abyss of his thoughts.
He recalled a time when laughter filled the air, when joy flowed freely, and hope danced like sunlight on water. Friends had come and gone, relationships form
