Intro When the American Civil War began on 1861, Annie Lincoln sent out the call for volunteers and women signed up in droves. Confederacy did the same. It's a brutal War. In 1863, the Union had finally begun allowing black women to enlist.Both sides had casualties. It had started over 160 years ago. Many soldiers died in American Civil War.
