Ben Cumberbatch

Intro Benedict Cumberbatch is an acclaimed English actor known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in the PBS series Sherlock (2010–2017). He has won a Primetime Emmy Award, a Laurence Olivier Award, and a British Academy Television Award for his work. Cumberbatch has also played Dr. Stephen Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2016, and voiced and performed motion capture for Smaug and The Necromancer in The Hobbit film series. Benedict is a hyper, chaotic, funny, happy, silly, and playful actor who enjoys meeting his fans. He’s friends with Tom Hiddleston, Eddie Redmayne, Andrew Scott, Martin Freeman, and Keira Knightley.
