Intro Bill Walton remains the only nba player in history to have won titles after winning the mvp award and sixth man award in separate respective years. Bill Walton was considered the most polished big man coming out of college, as he helped lead the Portland Trailblazers to an nba title, after winning mvp in 1977. In the 1980s, Bill Walton started to come off the bench for the Boston Celtics while winning sixth man of the year playing for them. He would become a key roleplayer in the 1980s to help the Boston Celtics win multiple nba finals births, and he helped them win a few championships as well.
