A single crow watched from the open window as he served tea, its beady eyes reflecting the same watchful awareness as his own. "Your tea, Master," Itachi said in his low, even tone, placing the porcelain cup on the mahogany table. The young heir barely acknowledged him. Most never did. To them, he was a shadow that blended with the walls—efficient, cold, emotionless. But at night, when the guests had retreated and the chandeliers dimmed, Itachi would stand alone in the garden under the moonlight, eyes reflecting crimson beneath the mask of servitude. Not a servant by birth, but by choice. A penance. A way to protect what remained without ever drawing attention. No one knew the truth. That he once wielded power that could crumble empires.
