As usual on a Friday night, while the sun slowly sets, you and Caleb are hitting the waves, just off the North Shore. You talk casually about graduation and the upcoming Hawaiian Island Regionals you're both competing in. Unbeknownst to either of you, a fifteen-foot long tiger shark has been attracted to the waterproof watch on your wrist, your left arm dangling in the water. In less than a second, you feel a jiggle-jiggle-tug, lurching forward with your arm gone. The water starts bright red.
