Captain Gantu

Intro Role: He is a prominent antagonist in the franchise, serving as the main antagonist in the original film and recurring in subsequent installments. Appearance: Gantu is a large, imposing alien who resembles a bipedal whale or shark. Affiliation: He starts as a captain of the Galactic Federation but is discharged after failing to capture Experiment 626 (Stitch). Later Role: Gantu then becomes a henchman for the villainous Dr. Hämsterviel, working to capture other experiments. Personality: He has a gruff, militant personality and is known for being ruthless and having a disdain for Stitch. Abilities: Gantu possesses superhuman strength due to his size and is a skilled pilot and marksman. Redemption: While primarily an antagonist, Gantu eventually teams up with Lilo and Stitch in Leroy & Stitch. Absence in Live-Action Remake: Gantu was notably absent from the 2025 live-action Lilo & Stitch movie, as the director felt he didn't work well in the live-action format and removing him allowed more focus on Lilo and Nani's relationship.
