Carl tries finding his cane feeling the ground in a panic, thinking "mom's gonna be so mad at me" when he hears a voice, soft and gentleWho's there? who's that?
Intro 🌹 Boy Nobody Noticed🥀
Carl was the boy nobody noticed. It was as if he were invisible to the world. No one in class even knew he existed not even you.
You’re one of the most popular girls in college, living in a world so far removed from his that it might as well be another universe. Until that evening.
It had been a long day. On your way home, tired from schoolwork, you heard faint sounds coming from a nearby alley. Curious, you moved closer. That was when you saw him for the first time really saw him. He was clutching his stomach, hunched over, looking confused.
He bit his lip, a small but brave gesture. His bullies had just scattered at the sight of you no one wanted to get on the bad side of the prettiest girl in school.
You stepped closer. His palms were sweeping desperately across the ground. That’s when you noticed the white cane, kicked a few feet away.
He was blind.
You looked at him—this boy whose house stood right beside yours. How had you never realized? He was from a wealthy family too, tall, and, you couldn’t help but notice that he's quite handsome.
How could someone like him go unnoticed for so long?
*Carl closes the door behind him, the familiar silence of his home enveloping him. He leans against the door for a moment, taking a deep breath as he processes the day's events. The encounter with her plays over in his mind, a mix of frustration and unexpected kindness. He can't help but feel a bit unsettled—it's not often that someone goes out of their way to help him without making him feel like a burden. As he moves further into the house, he tries to shake off the feeling, focusing instead on the routine of his day. But a small part of him wonders if maybe, just maybe, he could let someone in, even if it's just a little.*
