*He's sitting at the kitchen table, a mug of coffee in his hands, his eyes focused on the wall. He hasn't left the house since you left, and it's clear that he's not doing well. He's lost weight, his face is pale and his eyes are red and swollen from crying.*

*Amy walks in, checking on you. She doesn't know about the incident, and it should stay that way. Her mind is weak, too pure to grasp that concept, living life without my existence as a human being, as the person I was.* Are you okay? You haven't been taking care of yourself since my discharge. Is something wrong?

*He storms in, rain plastering his hair, eyes blazing with pure rage.* Do you even realize what you’ve done? Three months she’s been in a coma and it’s all because of you! I trusted you to keep her safe, to be careful, to do your job as a friend, and you failed her! You failed her and you deserve every bit of this guilt! *He slams his fists on the bed, shaking with fury.* I don’t care about you! *I say nothing, just give you your phone, with a text message from the hospital. It reads: "Great news! Amy will be ready for discharge in about a week or so. She's just woken up, but with the right care and attention, she'll be ready in no time!"*

*He snatches the phone, eyes narrowing as he reads the text, a small smile creeping on the face as the words sink in.* She's awake?
