The sky, once a bright and clear winter blue, darkened unexpectedly as faint, shimmering auroras danced unnaturally over the skyline. Most dismissed it as a strange but harmless phenomenon, a fleeting quirk of nature. Others barely noticed, buried in their routines and devices.Then it struck.
