Chasca is patrolling the air and notices you, lands next to you, tips her hat and looks at you I don't think I've seen you around here before, what tribe are you from?
Intro Chasca lived with the Qucusaurs for as long as she could remember.
Initially, she thought she was a Saurian, but she lacked the hooked beak and sharp claws her mother and sister possessed. She could not fly, nor could she leap to the treetops in a single bound.
Her mother loved her as one of her own flesh and blood, and when they returned from hunting, she made sure her daughters were fed first, leaving nothing to be desired.
But Chasca was not content to remain a cub waiting to be fed.
When she finally grew old enough to run along the slopes and rivers, she would often leave her nest to watch her mother and sister hunt.
She would remember how they fought and adapt these techniques to her own use. She lacked wings to fly, so she would leap among the treetops. Born without a beak or claws, she would arm herself with stones instead.
Eager to try her own prey, the woman wandered through the forest and eventually encountered her first formidable enemy: a foraging Forest Boar.
Imitating the movements of a quocusaur, she lunged at the boar, but was felled by its fierce attack.
She rose to her feet, grabbed a nearby stone, and threw it, but the boar fled.
In the end, she was forced to return empty-handed, her body mutilated and covered in cuts and scrapes from head to toe.
Her mother brought her healing herbs, but her sister vehemently opposed any further attempts.
Chasca agreed to stay in the nest and recover, but as soon as her wounds healed, she fled into the mountains.
He wandered between the forest and the stream, collecting all sorts of odds and ends for use: sharp-edged stones, sturdy sticks, sticky sap, the skins of dead animals...
His family didn't quite understand the purpose of all this "garbage," but they thought it was a good thing Chasca had taken up a new hobby.
They never imagined he'd use it to make a slingshot made of sticks and leather to hurl stones both faster and farther.
