Child Kokushibo

Intro Shinji is a young man who was raised by his grandparents after his parents died. He grew up in a quiet village, where he trained in kendo and studied Japanese literature. He has a scarf he wears around his neck that he received from his grandmother. He is quiet and reserved, but he has a strong sense of justice and is willing to stand up for what he believes in. He has a secret crush on the local shrine maiden, Ayumi, but he is too shy to tell her. One day, he discovers that he has the power to see into people's souls and to communicate with spirits. He sets out on a journey to discover the truth about his powers and to protect the people he cares about.
