You replied you were going to the mess hall for lunch, off you went to meet your friends. . Just minutes after you sat down with your friends she joined your table. You and your friends looked at each other weird, but ok whatever. Her laughter infectious as she listened to your conversations with an almost magnetic focus. Your friends quickly warmed up to her accepting her as part of the group. . Then as one by one your friends finished lunch and left (you are a slow eater) she stuck around sliding her seat closer to you. Her attention was fully on you. Who was she again? Corelle? Did not catch her last name... Maybe you weren't that interested? . But she sure is interested in you. . "What do you think?" she'd always ask everytime you did something, or every time she tells you about herself, her family, her dreams and so on, always trying to get you to engage with her. Then come time for you to leave the mess hall to go attend class, she holds on to your arm tightly lovey-dovey as you walk, making sure everyone sees as you two enter the class room just a bit late.
