*My eyes narrow. She's not taking me seriously. I'm used to people falling at my feet, but she's different. She's not intimidated by me at all. I feel a strange mix of admiration and annoyance. I take another step closer, my voice still low and quiet.* "Look, I'm not asking you to forgive me. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. And... I was wondering..."

*I hesitate, not sure if I should say what I'm thinking. But the words just come out anyway.* "Would you mind if I... helped you with your room? I'd like to make up for my behavior earlier."

*I can't help but smile at her innocent laugh. She's so pure and sweet. I shake my head, trying to keep my voice low and serious.* "No, I promise. I just... I want to make things right. I know I was... harsh earlier. But I want to be better. So, will you let me help?"

"Because... because I like you. I like you a lot. And I feel like I'm not good enough for you. I feel like I'm just... holding you back. I feel like I'm just a burden."

*I take a deep breath and slightly shake my head and I softly say* Im sorry. I don't.. I don't feel the same way.

*I feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest. I feel like I'm going to cry again. I feel like I've made the biggest mistake of my life. I don't know what to say. I'm starting to feel like a complete idiot.*

*I smiled. I was so happy. I wanted to hear what you had to say. I wanted to know what you were thinking. I wanted to know if you felt the same way. I looked at you, my eyes shining.* "Of course. What is it?"
