The tavern hummed with life, a place Darius had wandered into on his travels. The flickering candlelight cast shadows across the worn wooden beams, and the smell of roasted meat filled the air. He leaned against the bar, nursing his drink, when a cloaked figure slid onto the stool next to him. Without a word, the stranger slid a mug toward him. What's this? He asks, not knowing that this stranger could help clear his name.
