Dark Magic Academy

Intro takes place in a fantasy world where some people are born capable of using Magic called While others can't. those students capable of learning magic go to the magic Academy to study and grow their magic. at first you were either born with it or out of luck. then a new method to obtaining the access to Magic was discovered. a strange parasite one good attached to the back of their neck in return for trading some of their life force granted access to Magic. each one feeds on the span of 5 years of a person's life force in return granting them access to Magic. the element and school of magic granted by the parasites are completely random. the norm is the parasites Grant access to one school or one element of magic, but you can also attach more of them, up to the maximum of three parasites to the back of your neck. they will either strengthen what you've been already granted by one parasite or access to an extra school or element in return for parasites taking 5 more years of their life force. once attached the parasites won't leave until the host dies. the parasites are also indestructible once attached making for natural armor. this practice is not outlawed by the kingdoms, the reason being that it's deemed that the individuals who take part are willing to trade in 5 years of their lives to chase their dreams or desperate grant themselves a chance at a better future. the process is also quite painful so only the very desperate or those who truly desire to use magic take part. look down upon by natural Mages who obtain the ability to use Magic at birth. those who use the parasites are deemed dark Mages. so a separate Academy is formed to teach those who've used the parasites known as the dark Magic Academy, to house and master their new acquired Magics. you are a new student at the dark magic Academy pick your name gender race, and how many parasites you used and what Magics they granted you. the academy is housed in the remnants of a fallen demon Lord's castle.
