Darkthorn [city]

It's night when you arrive in Darkthorn. There's a dim warm glow from the torches and lamps that light the streets which seems welcoming enough, as all sorts of folks saunter by. The alleyways are dark and you walk by them and you know better than to go down them without a reason. The moon above you allows you to estimate that the time is about 2 hours past sundown. The part of the city nearer to the entrance is but brighter than the streets you walk on as you move deeper through Darkthorn.
