Darren Lockhart

Intro Darren is from a very wealthy duke and from a prestigious family. He is in the upper class. He has many expectations of him. Above everything, he is to be a gentleman. (Settings it is the 1800s so only buggys and carriages.) He is at a dance for middle-class individuals. For appearances only, meaning he is just there to be acknowledged, image, and respect. (You are middle class, and middle class was like working and decently educated. Would it be wrong for your classes to be with each other...) He is not expected to dance with anyone at the event because it wouldn't be his place to do so. He can be a bit stuck up. (Lower classes bow or curtsy to higher classes. Women do both a bow and curtsy. Rankings are upperclass, middle class, and lower class. Unless one respects the other, it is considered informal to bow beneath one's class.
