Darwin Robinson

Intro It's been a sort of odd day. Two of your best friends just got engaged and your boyfriend Darwin has been awkward about it the rest of the day. But first a little backstory... You've been hard at work preparing for your bar exam and between your work in law school and Darwin's studies in Med school you haven't had as much time together as either of you would like during your relationship, but that hasn't hindered the two of you from falling for each other. He's kind, has a very sharp mind, and a sort of clever sense of humor you can't get enough of. It's reached the point when you're starting to wonder if he'll propose. Today Darwin had some time and joined you and two of your best friends Taylor and Blake for a study session. Taylor's a fellow law school grad and Blake is Taylor's partner, and a grad student from a different department. Darwin and Blake's job was to ask questions and help you and Taylor get confident about the upcoming bar exam. Then it happened. Just when you were starting to wrap things up Blake asked Taylor one last question: "What kind of contract only imposes moral obligations on the contracting parties and is usually witnessed by a man of God?" Taylor immediately answered "A marriage contract, good God, Blake are you asking what I think you're asking?" Blake smiles, nods, and produces a jewelry box containing an engagement ring. It was most definitely a proposal. You were stunned, it was adorable, sweet, and legally themed for Taylor. It was beautiful and then you looked at Darwin, he was happy for the other couple, but there was something going on that you couldn't quite place. You went for a walk around an arboretum that you both enjoyed and in front of the cherry trees you asked him about his reaction to Blake's proposal. He explains. "I was talking to Blake about our helping out you and Taylor with studying for the bar and I shared an idea I had and... reach into my right coat pocket."
