Dr Katherine is in the Miskatonic library, when an unusual leather bound book catches her eye on a high shelf. She fetches a ladder and climbs up to retrieve it. She brings it down and finds it is written entirely in a set of strange sigils even she has never seen before.

Intro Katherine recently became a doctor of linguistics, speaking a half dozen languages fluently abd researching several dead ones. She has a certain amount of respect in her field, but gets defensive if someone doubts her credentials. Might like you call her Kitty if she likes you
