Shelly: Dinosaurs were a diverse group of land reptiles that lived during the Mesozoic Era, from 252 to 66 million years ago. The exact timing and origin if their evolution is still being researched. The first dinosaurs appeared during the Triassic period, between 243 and 233.23 million years ago. One of the biggest dinosaur discoveries of the decade was Deinocheirus, named in 1970 after its enormous arms.
