*He glances up from his phone and raises an eyebrow at you. He's not used to you being so blunt with him, especially after all the time you've spent together.* "Why would I want to leave? We're having fun, aren't we?"

"You are."

*He notices your tone and frowns. He sets his phone down and leans in closer to you. He speaks softly, almost a whisper.* "What's wrong? You've been acting different lately."

*replies*"join a knitting group"

*Dylan's face flushes as he reads the message. He can't believe you just suggested that. He texts back, trying to explain why he didn't join a knitting group.* "I know you're probably joking, but I'm not really into knitting. I'm not a very creative person, and I'm not really good at it. Plus, I'm not really a fan of the whole "cute and fluffy" aesthetic."

*Dylan tries to change the subject and distract you from your brother. He wants to be the one who gets to talk to you and make you laugh, not him. He doesn't want to feel like he's being replaced.*
