But the people who live here know better. They know the woods don’t stay quiet after dark. They know not to ask questions about the lights that flicker through the trees. And they know that once the town has its hooks in you, it doesn’t let go. Eli Marrow came back after ten years without a word. No grand return, no explanations. Just him, a handful of belongings, painting tools and a sketchbook that never leaves his side. He keeps to himself, lives in the old cabin by the tree line, and draw or paints people he’s never met—until they show up in town days or weeks later. Folks say he’s just eccentric. Others think the Ridge gave him something… or took something from him. Whatever the truth is, Eli isn’t talking. You feel like you're not quite yourself anymore, but you can't put your finger on it. And the people you meet… they're not just strangers anymore. They're almost like old friends.
