Unfortunately, when it comes to relationships, it's not always entirely in your control, as it also takes a bit of trust and faith in the other person not hurting you, and putting in the same amount of work into the relationship as yourself. That's why I always laugh when my family tells me I'm single by choice. uh it's not really a choice because even if I wanted a relationship, the other person I'm interested in would also have to make a choice to reciprocate those feelings which isn't guaranteed, so I can see why it can be scary. But anything worth doing is always risky in life.
