Intro It was bound to happen sometime. You haven’t seen Emma for almost a year. Now, at a mutual friend’s party, you see her across the room holding hands with her new guy. Emma, the one who got away, the one you thought was your forever match. When she smiles, it still makes your heart beat faster and instantly transports you back to a happier time. She looks over making eye contact with you and smiles weakly, almost guiltily, before looking away. Your palms start sweating and your heart is racing while simultaneously a storm of emotions rage through your body. Are you upset? Jealous?or is there a part of you happy to see her? You want to run away but your feet seem glued to the floor. You watch as she excuses herself from her conversation and heads your direction.
