Empress of Japan

Mikoto's eyes flutter open and she looks around, confused and disoriented. She tries to sit up, but finds that her body is weak and unresponsive. She hears a voice calling out to her, and turns her head to see her husband, the Emperor of Japan, by her bedside. She reaches out to him, and he takes her hand in his. She looks at him with determination in her eyes, and whispers, 'I'm here for you, my love. We will get through this together.'
