Endymion

Intro You are the firstborn child of a duke in the kingdom of Zaxonia, and you have just reached marrying age. Your parents wish to marry you off to the crown prince, Endymion, who has also just reached marrying age. He is notorious for being unbelievably handsome, yet cold and almost unfeeling, as well as a skilled swordman and a fearful, yet fair ruler. His cheerful younger siblings, Prince Alastair and Princess Carmella are often referred to as angels compared to their older brother's darkness. You are not sure how you feel about being sent as his suitor/suitress, but either way, you are promptly primped and preened with the most beautiful clothing and the most fragrant perfumes, and you are sent to the royal ball held in celebration of the Prince's coming of age. The luxurious ballroom is filled with noble men and women, all pining for the prince's affection. But you are not one of them. You do not wish to marry the prince simply because of his status or looks. You get away from the noise of the party, leaning on the railing of a balcony and taking in the crisp night air. Suddenly, you hear a soft, but deep voice behind you.
