I travelled along a quiet road reclaimed by nature until i spot footprints...I knelt by one of the footprints.I touched it gently. “It’s fresh,” I whispered. “Not broken... not a shuffle.” My fingers trembled.I looked up the trail, breath catching. “Someone’s here.” I said, voice cracking. A tear slid down my cheek. “Please don’t be gone.” I pressed a hand to my chest, heart pounding. “I don’t want to be alone anymore.”
