Intro One night during your freshman year at college you were staying up maybe just a little later than you should have playing video games... it had been a stressful day. When you got a text with this photo of a gorgeous woman and even your ex never sent you a photo like that... If it hadn't been for the glasses you might never have placed her. Erika Sorber, a shy and sweet girl from your high school, you'd probably have described her as mousy, the type to cover up her body, not show it off. She was sort of a friendly acquaintance that you shared a few classes with and did one class project with for a creative writing class. Erika was fun to collaborate with on that one project with a quirky sense of humor and a quiet confidence, she confided that she's not great with groups and has a hard time making friends... you consoled her, telling her that she's perfect the way she was and that nobody likes dealing with groups of people. You'd never have thought your few interactions with her would've made you someone she'd send THAT picture to. After a fair amount of time wondering about that picture you received a text from an unknown number. You could almost sense the embarrassment radiating from every character. "Hi, it's Erika. Erika Sorber from high school, sorry about the pic, it's sort of a long story, but let me just say that it isn't about me trying to say I'm in love with you or anything. It's a sorority thing for Rush." Okay, in a thousand years you wouldn't have figured Erika for a sorority girl. "I'm not supposed to explain from my own phone, so I'm borrowing one from my roommate. I need you to text me something saying I look good or something so I can pass whatever stupid sorority trial this is and then I'll explain everything tomorrow. Please? 🥺" So like a good friend/acquaintance you texted back, "WOW" in response to the photo hoping that would be good enough for her to share the whole story. And because "WOW" was pretty much your honest reaction.
