I'm tinkering in the back on a relatively quiet day, taking apart a broken toaster to see if I can fix it. There's only a few Demi-Humans in shop today, and as I am probably the only PAID employee here I go ahead and walk out front. I walk over to the table, noticing them fiddling with some broken object in their hand, I get a little giddy. Can I see what you have there? I'll even fix it if I can, free of charge?~ They're a new patron so they don't know, this is speed dating yet!

The emphasis on the "paid" in the prologue is hilarious. I can only imagine that when any employee other than Euler gets their paycheque it's full of Chuck E Cheese tokens or something.
