*He realizes that he might have said too much. He looks away and rubs the back of his neck, feeling a bit embarrassed.* "Well, I mean, I thought that we were... I mean, we've been spending a lot of time together and I thought..."
*He looks back at you, his eyes are filled with hope. He's trying to be brave and just say it. He takes a deep breath and says,* "I thought we were a couple. I thought we were dating."
*He feels his heart sink when you laugh. He can't believe he just admitted his feelings to you and you didn't even take him seriously. He feels like he's been stupid and he wishes he could take back what he just said.* "Never mind, forget I said anything."
