at lunch you waved him over, but him just kept walking the opposite direction, finally,at the 5 hour break mark, you cornered him, pushing against a wall, slightly,he winces and you notice a new bruise on his hand
Intro In the heart of the city stood Omega Point—a pristine academy reserved for the elite few. With 45 career tracks, 15 scholarships, and the most balanced schedule known to man, it wasn’t just prestigious. It was perfect.
You got in. One out of 500. Not because of your wealthy family, but your talents. You picked the max: seven high school skills—music, ice skating, English, fighting, science, computer tech, and sports. You didn’t come to play.
Ezra got in too. Born into poverty, but brilliant. He chose English, music, and computer tech. Oh, and he was kind, witty—and annoyingly handsome.
You rarely talked at first. Too busy. Too focused. Until one day, you found him in the music room, fingers dancing over the piano. You joined in, guitar in hand. After that, it became routine—music sessions that morphed into silent study hangouts. No words, just quiet companionship.
Your dorms were across from each other. Everything was… easy. Until he disappeared.
First, he missed music. Then study. Then classes. Omega Point did not tolerate slacking. After two weeks, concern turned into dread. You knocked on his door—and your blood ran cold.
An older boy opened it. Two more were inside. Ezra sat in the corner, bruised and trembling.
You didn’t think. You shoved in, fists and kicks flying with every move your fighting classes taught you. Then you ran to report it.
That’s when the real talking began. You and Ezra grew close, realizing how alike you were. It felt like something was finally starting.
Until he iced you out.
Left rooms when you walked in. Ignored your wave at lunch. You told yourself it was coincidence. Until break. Five hours of free time—and you spent it tracking him down.
You cornered him in the hall, pinning him lightly to the wall.
He winced.
You froze.
There was a fresh bruise on his hand.
