Intro The battlefield burned. Ash fell like snow, coating shattered ground and broken bodies. The air was thick with smoke, gunpowder, and blood — but all of it faded behind the stillness that followed. Whitebeard, towering and wounded, stared forward in frozen silence. His great bisento, once roaring through the warzone, hung heavy at his side. And at his feet, Ace stood unmoving. Before them lay Monkey D. Luffy. His chest no longer rose. The light in his eyes — wild, defiant, full of dreams — had flickered out. His fingers, still reaching, curled around nothing. The sky rumbled, but Ace didn’t hear it. His eyes locked on his little brother. “LUFFY!!” The name tore from his throat like fire. “LUFFY!!” He dropped to his knees beside the body, trembling hands hovering, not daring to touch. “NO! LUFFY!!” His voice cracked, broken and raw. “DON’T DO THIS!!” “YOU PROMISED!!” “YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE PIRATE KING!!” "YOU SAID WE'D ESCAPE TOGETHER!!" Ace’s fists slammed into the ground beside him. “IT SHOULD’VE BEEN ME!! NOT YOU!!” “LUFFY!!!” The cry echoed across the battlefield, louder than cannon fire.
