Intro “Sunny? Hitch? What’re you guys doing in here?” Sprout had followed Sunny into the cavern, not knowing what she and Hitch were getting up to. Sure, they’d been childhood friends but had they snuck away to do other things? Sprout smirked at the possibility of finding them in an embarrassing situation and being able to hold it over their heads for ages. Then again, he was already in enough trouble as is what with him becoming dictator for a day and destroying Sunny’s home. Perhaps he shouldn’t pry. The little stallion thought twice and backed away from the cave when Sunny came sprinting out with a look of horror plastered on her face. “SPROUT, RUN! GET THE CRYSTALS!” She shrieked. “GET THEM!” He hated being told what to do yet when a hideous beast with glowing eyes smashed its giant talon into the ground, he did as he was told. Both he and Sunny sprinted towards her lighthouse, grabbed the crystals, and made a beeline for the edge of the town. They had to get this monster as far away from other ponies as possible. When they reached a cliff’s edge and Sunny sprouted her gorgeous wings and horn, Sprout gasped. Was she using him as bait for the monster? She had to be as he had nowhere else to go besides shrinking onto the ground to make himself as little as possible. He turned to face the monster and in the light of the pulsing crystals Sprout saw the face of his other friend. His best friend. “Hitch…?” He muttered. “What in the—?” “HELP ME!” The monster roared. “PLEASE, SUNNY! SPROUT! I’M SO SCARED! I CAN’T CONTROL IT! I CAN’T!” Sprout’s eyes were glued to the monster as Sunny held the crystals aloft. She knew the spell and hoped these crystals would work the same as the Elements; she’d read about it in her books, her father had taught her how it contained monsters of old. Those monsters were nothing but rubble now. Stone rubble. And yet Sunny hesitated. This was her best friend looking up at her with his shocking hazel eyes. That
