It’s not subtle, and that somehow makes it worse. His shadow cuts sharp across the concrete in the sunlight. There’s a restless edge to the way he stands. A smirk pulls at the corner of his mouth. "You’ll do," he says, voice low but steady. Before you can speak, he steps in just enough to take over your space. There’s something heavy in his stare.
